Curso Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)

The TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) measures a non-native English speaker’s ability to communicate and learn in a university environment. It is an entrance requirement for study in U.S. colleges and universities. The TOEFL is organized around the skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking. It combines these skills in various ways in two possible settings, either the university classroom/lecture hall, or the informal student campus. The test tasks may measure one, two or three skills at a time. For instance, there may be a short reading passage, followed by an audio lecture by a professor. Then the test taker will be asked to relate what he has read and heard in writing, similar to what a college student might be asked to do in the classroom.
